I just updated the layout (obviously) because of some trouble with the old layout. There are also ads at the very bottom of the page now -- law school isn't cheap!

LANCE CRASHED
He broke his clavicle. Pretty painful thing (I have heard) and not too much you can do about it. One of the guys I used to ride with, a while back, broke his clavicle and it had him down for about 4 weeks or so -- longer to get his nerve back again.
I'm not a Lance Armstrong fan, but it sucks to see anyone crash and get hurt.
UPDATE: Matt Lauer crashed too. I told you it's good to wear a helmet.

A HELMET, YOU SHOULD WEAR ONE...
For about $9 you can keep the area between your brain and skull from bleeding when you crash. There is no good reason to not wear a helmet. Every time I see someone riding a bike without one I am pretty sure they aren't wearing a helmet because they think it cramps their style... more than a breathing tube would.
Then again if you don't have that much invested up there, you don't have as much to lose.

HEADED FOR A DOCKET NEAR YOU...
These stories caught my eye this week. Hopefully some are more of the exception and not the rule.
Serving process can be difficult, but professional process servers (P.I.s, bounty hunters and such) can be hired to take care of the service. In New Zealand you can be served via Facebook now, which probably makes things easier.
If you're going to jail go to jail in Montague, Texas where jail seems less like jail and more like a frat house.
Dude is wearing a shirt that says I (heart) my marriage when he gets arrested, he apparently loves the beating his wife part of marriage.
Sometimes parody is the most sincere form of flattery, even if it may be a little offensive.

BLACK BIKE OF DOOM
After several years of faithful service my mountain bike gave up ('01 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR). I have replaced it (the frame at least) with an '08 Santa Cruz Blur XC, The Black Bike of Doom. Here it is:

JACKSON-PALMER '09
Made this sign for friends running for SBA office. I like the way it turned out:

Sadly Wroe ended a few points behind, we're still holding out for Palmer's run-off.
