LATE UPDATE

It's been a while -- I've been busy and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better anytime soon. I was appointed to a Faculty Committee (not quite sure what my responsibilities are yet, but it should be some good exposure) last week. Next weekend I'm riding a bike to Corpus Christi for the MS150. Not to mention I still have daily reading assignments to complete. There are some other things in there too but those probably going to be the biggest time consumers for the next week or so.

Today was a nice break from that though. I took my bike over to Government Canyon and rode some of the toughest trails I've ever seen. When I was there I bought a park pass and now I have unlimited day entry to most Texas State Parks -- woo hoo!

UPDATE

While some law students are caught up in the whole upcoming election thing, it really isn't the case that the whole student body even cares. We have things more important to be concerned about: keeping up with reading and grades.

I do see the importance in deciding who the next President is going to be, but I feel like whatever the outcome I'm not really going to get exactly what I want (because you know that's what it's always about -- what I want!).

From what I can tell though, McCain's selection of Palin seems pretty solid. I think I'd be concerned if I worked for Obama right now, mostly because he shares a similar problem as he does: experience. I'd be concerned about opening that door (which seems to have had the hinges removed by now). At the same time McCain may be a little worried about what time may reveal about Palin.

Whatever. I'm going to go pickup my hunting license.
