YEAR 2, DAY 1

Today is the first day of my second year of law school. Today was more or less an introductory to the semester sort of thing, which is never really a bad thing. One of my classes, Property, is a the last half of the Property class I started last semester. The other two are new: Criminal Law and Constitutional Law. Once those are complete I can start working on electives and getting closer to finishing.

I'm going to see what activities I can get involved in this semester, since it will probably be the fewest number of hours, to pad the old resume. Mostly I'd like to do a little part-time work doing research or brief writing, or anything else that will be expected of me early on. Sounds like a trip up to the Career Center and a little time with my resume will be in order.

BACK TO SCHOOL

Just when you thought it was safe to go back outside and have fun again, we are in the process of making new lawyers. I don't have the size of our new 1L class yet, but I'm going to guess the number is somewhere in the neighborhood of 280 (four section of about 70 a section).

I went out about a week ago and bought my books for this upcoming semester. Constitutional Law, Criminal Law and Property. Should be a fairly light load this semester. It also means that everybody will have some extra time to get ready for finals resulting in more competitive grades (good or bad, better or worse, I don't know).

Looking forward to the semester though, it will be nice to not have so much work since bird season is just around the corner and all. Too bad class couldn't be still abroad.

LAST WEEK

And a busy one too. Have a final on Thursday, and making plans for getting home. Think I'm going to spend a night in Munich before I head up to Frankfurt and fly out of here. Was thinking about going through customs and was remembered this:
